Have you seen Jillian Goblirsch?
Soon after returning home to CT, 26-year-old vanishes without a trace
Update: The family has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to Jillian Goblirsch’s safe return.
Jillian Goblirsch has been missing for over a month.
Originally, officials reported that the 26-year-old was last seen May 14, entering her home in the Westville neighborhood of New Haven. However, surveillance photos later showed Goblirsch at Union Station in New Haven on May 15, holding a stuffed animal.

A 2017 graduate of Amity Regional High School, Goblirsch grew up in Bethany and had recently returned to Connecticut after living in New York City, where she worked as a legal support assistant.
In her LinkedIn profile, she describes herself as a “proactive team player with excellent time management skills.” Her profile also indicates she studied international business relations, did an internship in China and spent a year in South Korea working as an English as a Second Language teacher, which she received certification for in 2020.
A long-distance friend of Goblirsch said in a Reddit thread that the missing woman hadn’t been active in their group chat since early April, and that it was “extremely uncharacteristic of her.”
“Our hearts hurt,” the friend wrote. “We worry for her safety, and we keep her family and other friends in our minds as we try to help piece this together.”
A family friend, who had participated in searching and posting flyers in New Haven, said in a June 1 Facebook post that there had been a possible sighting of Goblirsch in the area of Sargent Drive in New Haven. Another possible sighting was reported on June 10 at the corner of State and James streets in New Haven, but by the time police responded to the scene, the woman people had seen asking for money was gone.
The family and volunteers aiding in the search are in regular contact with area soup kitchens, homeless shelters, local businesses, libraries and police.
Goblirsch has long, light brown hair and blue eyes, is approximately 5-foot-6 and weighs around 140 pounds. She has two tattoos: a dragon on her leg and a hummingbird on her wrist. She might be carrying a stuffed animal or her tarot cards, but most likely left her home without her phone or her wallet.
Family members have posted on social media that they are thankful and grateful to everyone “looking, posting, praying, sharing and trying to find Jillian.”
Anyone who may have information about Goblirsch’s whereabouts is asked to call the New Haven Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 203-946-6304.
